The Chicago Public Schools is embarking on the development of a long-term education plan. This plan will identify long-term goals that will guide us over the next five years. To complete the plan, we will devote several months to an inclusive focus-group process involving you and a variety of shareholders from inside and outside the school system.

We have organized over 40 ongoing focus groups representing the central office, schools and the external community. Through these groups, we hope to generate ideas that advance education, strengthen our schools and improve support in such areas as: Literacy, Quality teaching and Leadership, Focused Instructional Program, Student Development and Support, Technology, Accountability and Assessment.
